Understanding a Use AI charge on your statement

Every Use AI charge maps to one of a few things — the trial fee, a subscription renewal, or a subscription on another account. Here's how to identify each one.

How Use AI appears on your statement

  • Subscribed on the website: the charge is billed by Use AI and appears as `WWW.USE.AI`. To confirm a charge is ours, email help@use.ai with the date and amount.
  • Subscribed in the iOS app: Apple bills you, so the charge shows Apple's descriptor (typically APPLE.COM/BILL) and won't mention Use AI.

A small $1 charge — or two of $0.50

That's the trial fee — $1, or the equivalent in your currency, charged when you start the 7-day trial. Depending on your payment method it may be charged as two payments of $0.50 — this validates that your method supports recurring payments. It's the price of your 7 days of Pro — not a hold, and not the subscription price. See How the 7-day trial works.

A full charge about a week after the small one

That's the trial renewing: on day 7 exactly, the trial becomes a monthly subscription at the regular price shown at checkout, then renews monthly — see Does my subscription automatically renew?. You can cancel any time before a renewal — see How to cancel your subscription.

Finding which account was charged

A subscription belongs to the Use AI account that bought it. If your account shows the Free plan but charges continue, the subscription is likely on a second account:

  • Check every email address you use — including the one behind your Google, Microsoft, or Facebook sign-in.
  • Signing in with Apple can create an account under a hidden relay address (…@privaterelay.appleid.com).
  • Can't find it? Email help@use.ai with the charge date and amount, and we'll locate the account.

Charged twice?

  • Two $0.50 charges when the trial starts — together they make up the $1 trial fee described above.
  • Two accounts — for example, one under your Google email and one under a typed or Apple relay address, each with its own subscription.
  • Someone in your household subscribed with their own account.
  • A declined payment that was retried — the first attempt shows as pending, then drops off.

Email us both charge dates and amounts and we'll investigate.

Use AI is not Anthropic or OpenAI

Use AI is a separate service that gives you access to models like Claude, GPT, and Gemini under one subscription. Cancelling a ChatGPT or Claude subscription doesn't cancel Use AI — and vice versa.

Before you dispute a charge with your bank

Email help@use.ai first, with your account email plus the charge date and amount — usually faster than a bank dispute. How refunds are handled is covered in Refunds.
